Arlington Retired School Employees Association
Established April 20, 1971
Welcome to the Arlington Retired School Employees Association!
We are an active group of retired school employees who work for the well being of our members, our community, and our schools. As members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association, we serve as advocates for all retired school employees to the Texas State Legislature and the Teacher Retirement System. The TRTA Children’s Book Project is a major project that we participate in to provide books for children in Arlington. Each year, we also provide scholarships to two AISD seniors who express an intent to enter the teaching profession as well as eight grants to AISD active educators. Interesting programs, field trips, and pertinent information is presented at our meetings. We welcome the membership of all retired school employees, their families, and anyone interested in education in Arlington, Texas.
We meet the third Tuesday of the month, September through May, at 1:30 for meet and greet and light refreshments, and start the meeting at 2pm. Our December and May meetings are a luncheon for our Scholarship and Grant programs. A complete calendar of events can be found on our Calendar page. Our Photos page provides links to our photos and scrapbooks. An officer list along with other information is on our About Us page. Find out more about these on our Projects, Legislation and Newsletters pages.
